Hudak officially sworn in as MPP for Niagara West-Glanbrook

QUEEN’S PARK – Accompanied by his wife Debbie and newborn daughter Miller, Tim Hudak marked his 40th birthday Thursday by getting officially sworn in as MPP for the new riding of Niagara West-Glanbrook at Queen’s Park by Clerk of the Assembly Deb Daller.

I still find it to be very inspiring."

Two thirds of Niagara West-Glanbrook, consisting of Lincoln, West Lincoln, Grimsby, Pelham, Glanbrook and Upper Stoney Creek, is new territory for Hudak. Despite the fact that two thirds of Niagara West-Glanbrook was new area for Hudak, he was nonetheless re-elected with his best results yet with 51 per cent of the vote and a 10,000-vote margin.

“This was certainly my most memorable election of the four,” Hudak said. “It received our best ever results locally, and most notably Debbie and I welcomed our first child in the world a week before Election Day.”

Hudak said he is looking forward to the opportunity to get back to advocating for local issues during debate and question period on behalf of his constituents, such as kick starting the Mid-Peninsula Corridor, funding a gypsy moth spraying program, providing support for agriculture, establishing a health card clinic in Glanbrook, expanding the protected area around the Eramosa Karst Conservation Area in Stoney Creek, and advancing the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital and McNally House hospice projects.
